Well, here I am 3 months after becoming engaged and finally having a free second or two in my life to start my wedding blog! I've been wanting to start this since day one of being engaged, yet I've been so busy living every aspect of my life (read my other blog POSTGRAD if you're interested in knowing more about that too!) that I've hardly had time to think about starting my wedding blog, but here I am!
So, about me. I'm Kasey, a recent graduate of Southeast Missouri State University with a degree in Mass Communication - Public Relations as well as a minor in Fashion Merchandising...and further emphasis in Hospitality and meeting and event planning and management. Overall, I hope to be planning fabulous events and traveling the world some day : ) Again, read POSTGRAD and you will learn ALL about my journey and that aspect of my life.
My fiance is Tim, and he is the most amazing man in the world and would literally do anything for me. I know everyone says that about their boyfriend/fiance/husband, but really : ) I could not ask for anything more. Tim and I have been dating for over 5 years. We met in high school and have been together since then throughout college and some of the greatest times in our lives. Tim and I have a crazy little puppy, Bentley, and are searching for a place to call our home : ) Tim and I had been talking about engagement and knew that we wanted to get married, but we wanted to wait until the time was right. Tim chose the perfect time to ask me to marry him while we were in Chicago early this Summer right after we graduated from college and while we were also celebrating our five year anniversary. I could not have been more surprised or excited for the time to finally come. And after we were officially engaged, I loved that I could finally really talk about all things wedding! (and pull out my stack of wedding magazines that I had sitting in my closest :) ... I did say that I wanted to plan events some day. I have been looking at these things forever!). I will continue to keep you all updated on all aspects of the wedding! We've done a LOT already, knowing that within the next few months we would likely be getting busy with our lives and real jobs so we've gotten a lot accomplished thus far! I will update you on everything we've done so far, my thoughts, ideas and inspirations and the journey along the way!!
This is the time in almost every girl's life that she looks forward to, and I couldn't be more excited to be able to experience it with my best friend who is my fiance : ) And of course my amazing Mom and family and wonderful bridesmaids. We will be getting married on June 11, 2011. Less than a year from now, and I could not be any more excited!
